Today’s runner

Apologies for not paying more attention to the blog….. A busy time of year for all!. However, I must just say how delighted we have been with the horses – Ballyman (Max) was second at Plumpton earlier in the week and Beware Chalkpit (Pit) won!!! Both ridden admirably by Mark Grant and both have come home safe and sound to spend a few days out in the fields doing what horses love doing! (Although I am not looking forward to grooming them when they come back in. Max is meant to be grey…!)

Today we have an interesting runner in Dance With Me in the 12.40 Betfred ‘Home of Goals Galore’ Juvenile Hurdle. Jonathan bought him from the sales in the summer and we have had a couple of flat runs from him where he showed us conclusively that he doesn’t enjoy it! When your last three form analysis says ‘slowly away’; very slowly away’; ‘started slowly’ there seems to be a pattern emerging! However he has taken to jumping with a certain amount of relish and the first time we took him to school at Lambourn, Mark couldn’t stop him. Anyway, lets hope he translates that enthusiasm to the racecourse…! He will probably be a decent price and therefore worth a small e/w – fingers crossed!
